ABSTRACT: Assessing the benefits of early childhood education in preventing human trafficking is essential for safeguarding children and promoting awareness. This study aimed to evaluate how early childhood education programs influence children's understanding of human trafficking and self-protection. The objectives were to (1) assess improvements in children's knowledge of human trafficking, (2) evaluate the role of anti-trafficking activities in the curriculum, and (3) examine changes in children's behavior towards self-protection. A survey design was employed to gather comprehensive data from participants, allowing for a broad assessment of the topic. A purposive sample of 120 children aged 4-6 years, engaged in anti-trafficking education programs, was selected to ensure relevant experiences. The case study focused on an early childhood education center in Benue State, known for its anti-trafficking education initiatives. Findings indicated significant improvements in children's knowledge of human trafficking, the effectiveness of anti-trafficking activities, and positive changes in behavior towards self-protection. The study recommended integrating anti-trafficking education into early childhood curricula and providing training for educators to effectively teach these concepts.
